Animals in Danger l Sustainability

Animals In danger

Because of high levels of pollution many of wild animals are falling ill with new infection disease, that is carried by bugs. These bugs are dangerous for the animals and also for human beings. These germs can spread very fast. In the 15th and 16th centuries, European settlers are believed to have carried deadly diseases, also a smallpox and measles, to South America. Domestic animals like dogs, can receive this disease from their surroundings. Modern medicine can bring with it more resistance and more strain of these diseases that is the reason why this disease is harder.

More kiwi’s are endangered today in New Zealand because of deforestation and hunting to them. Many of these are deforestation to make a new building of their habitat and make it like an establishment. The cause also of their loss is their predators like possums, stoats, ferrets and mustelids that they are eating their eggs of kiwi’s.

In 2019, it is estimated that more than 68,000 kiwi’s are left in the forest, and their population in the current time is still steadily falling. There once reached up to 12 million kiwi, but in 1998, the population had plummeted to fewer than 100,000 birds. Now there are only 68,000 kiwis left in the forest, and unmanaged kiwi populations are declining by 2% every year. Today, where kiwi lives is managed, things are improving and many populations are stable or increasing. These places are included by the department of conversation (DOC) kiwi sanctuaries community - led projects and offshore island sanctuaries.

Paragraph 1 - Causes

More kiwi’s are endangered due to the loss of habitat and predators like stoats, ferret, possum, mustelid and dogs. They can’t fight them because they do not have the ability to fight. Some humans are killing kiwi’s to use their feathers and skins and more. The kiwi also threatened by habitat fragmentation, stress caused by pollution and loss of their natural resources, crucial to survival.

Paragraph 2 -  Impact

Now, New Zealand  has only 25 percent of it’s forest remaining because of deforestation. More kiwi’s have died because of deforestation. Humans were destroying their habitat to build some buildings and farms. The impact of predators is killing them, like stoats, ferrets, possums and more. These predators are killing 95 percent of their chicks within 7 days.

Paragraph 3 - Solution

To keep safe the kiwi from danger, we can monitor them if they have laid eggs and lift their eggs from the nest and take them to a secure hatching facility. The egg is incubated and the chick hatches and it’s monitored until it can feed independently.

Conclusion

We need to take quick action to prevent their still decreasing like take their eggs after they lay egg and don't hunt some of kiwi to have food. We can surrender their eggs to the near sanctuaries in our place to make they safely and so that their predator will not eat them. Let us not them disappear because they will also be our salvation one day.

Heart Dissection

Today I gonna tell you about the heart. We have been learning about the parts of the heart, and what they do.
For example, the veins carry blood to our heart.

Last Tuesday we did the dissected in heart of the cow to look this inside and to review this part of the heart.

What have we been learning about? We have learn about dissecting of heart/body of animals and different parts of heart.

Why are we dissecting heart? To look this inside and to know what they doing the parts of the heart and to see in person.

What are the parts of the heart? Did you see them? We got Aorta, pulmonary, atrium, ventricle, arteries, and veins.

Did you enjoy the dissection? Why/why not? I enjoyed the dissection because i see in person the parts of the heart and also the opening.
